Work Study

  • The CCHS work-study clerical aide from 2013 to 2017 was Hayley LANDMAN, majoring in American Studies and a Leopold Fellow three times in a row (below she is presenting her research at the 2015 Leopold Fellows dinner). We’re very sorry to lose her to Berkeley Law School. Congratulations, Hayley!
  • We're looking for a new Work-Study CLERICAL AIDE 3 to help run a small office:
    • assist in organizing lectures and other Center activities;
    • work on publicity (including posting fliers)
    • do some filing and enter financial information in Excel;
    • run errands;
    • occasionally help Center associates with research, scanning, and photocopying.

Our previous office aide graduated after working 4 years at the Center, so we are looking for a responsible, cheerful, detail-oriented person capable of multi-taking, a self-starter who does not mind working alone. Typing ability and knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel if possible, is needed; some clerical experience preferred.

Salary: $11 per hour.

Time: About 10 hours per week, within the parameters of a 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. office workday. We work around your class schedule. There will be some down time when you are required to be in the office and available, but you can read or study.

Direct supervisor: Elzbieta Foeller-Pituch, Assistant Director CHS, 847-467-3970.

Location: Harris Hall lower level, suite L27.
